A financial agreement has finally been reached between construction group Galliford Try and casino giant Genting UK to build the eagerly anticipated Birmingham super casino, which is set to bring a huge amount of new jobs to the area as well as a boost to the economy in general. Now that it has been finalised, it looks as though we could be seeing this £90 million project come to fruition with the opening of the casino in January 2015, so long as everything goes as is expected from now on.

This development is set to compete with the new casinos in London which were opened ahead of the Olympics, and will provide a gambling arena away from that area for those who are visiting other parts of the UK to enjoy. The Resorts World Birmingham will be located at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, giving guests the chance to enjoy casino games alongside the other attractions that the NEC regularly provides. Along with leisure choices and retail opportunities, it will grant a huge advantage to this area as a destination over other parts of the UK which now cannot offer perhaps quite as much.

Around the fifty thousand square feet of casino floor you can expect to see various other attractions, such as a four or five star hotel with one hundred and seventy beds, a spa for guests to enjoy, conference facilities, a full cinema complex, a factory outlet area with great deals on well known brands, restaurants, and other food and drink services for customers to enjoy. Parking space for nearly five hundred cars will also be added to the complex in order to accommodate visitors.

“The approved project will bring substantial benefits to Solihull and the wider region in terms of job creation and regeneration and will play a key role in the future prosperity and success of the NEC,” says executive deputy chairman of Genting UK, Peter Brooks. It is expected that almost three thousand jobs will be created as a result of the casino build and its subsequent opening for business.
